Genesis Energy owns and operates approximately 450 miles of crude oil pipelines across four different pipeline systems located in Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, and Mississippi. Our onshore pipelines are primarily engaged in the transportation of crude oil received from our offshore pipelines and producer customers to refinery customers and other refinery-centric demand centers along the Gulf Coast.
With ownership interests in approximately 450 miles of pipelines along the Gulf Coast, our onshore pipelines primarily provide delivery of barrels originating in the Gulf of Mexico to refineries and market centers in Texas and Louisiana. Additionally, our onshore pipelines transport crude oil production in Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida to local refining markets.
We operate a portfolio of terminals along the Gulf Coast where we provide our customers with logistics services including tank storage, marine vessel loading and offloading, and truck unloading capabilities. A majority of our terminals are connected our onshore pipelines, which provide direct connectivity to refining hubs and demand centers.
The safety of those living or working near our pipelines is a top priority. We continually strive to provide information and effectively educate the public about pipeline safety through our Public Awareness Program.
